Sea Sprinkles
SeaSprinkles are made from the sea vegetable red algae or purple laver, referred to as Nori in Japanese and Kim in Korean. Nets of woven rope are suspended below the surface of the ocean in environmentally protected bays, and during the cold winter months, the Kim slowly grows to cover the entire net. The Kim is first harvested, washed and roughly cut and air dried. The seaweed is then lightly roasted with olive oil, agave syrup, sesame oil, sesame seeds and sea salt to create crunchy, nutritious and delicious clusters. SeaSprinkles are gluten, trans fat, cholesterol and sugar free, high in Vitamins B1, B6, C and E and they contain significant amounts of vegetable protein, fiber, iron and other minerals and trace elements.
